History

Disasu Software is a 28 year old Houston based software company that specializes in the creation and maintenance of software to be used by persons in the petrochemical industry to design, analyze or check reactors, towers, and pressure vessels. The success in this area is attributable to the utilization of computer analytical programs as tools in achieving rapid, efficient, and economical solutions to design problems. The Vessel Program capabilities and efficiency of operation are continuously being updated and improved to provide the industry with the most advanced software product available in the field of pressure vessel design.  In order to maintain this position, we are sensitive to users' needs. Suggestions are invited from users concerning its application, use, and functionality. All programs are wholly owned and maintained by Disasu Software of Houston, Texas, and are updated periodically to include the latest design techniques and code requirements.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

The Disasu Pressure Vessel design program began back in 1975 on mainframe computers. It was a purely technical pressure vessel design program that was automated.  The first vessels were ran on the system using PUNCH CARDS .  Which means the software used the computer and it's solving capability to a maximum.  There was NO interaction between the designer and the software during the design.  Keeping the same technological approach to solving and designing pressure vessels, we then progressed in 1983 to a PC version. Later, with the introduction of Windows 3.1, we began to make the move to a Windows based application program and have since became functional on Windows 95, 98, NT 4.1, 2000, ME, and 2000 Professional. We are still functional on all of these platforms with the exception of Windows 3.1.
