Once a vessel rolls off the fabricator floor and is put in use it immediately begins to corrode. This corrosion will eventually reach a maximum and the vessel will not be usable at it’s original design limits. However, field measurements of existing thickness and original thickness can be calculated to project the existing life span of a vessel. These calculations are commonly referred to as “Fitness of Service”
Disasu Pressure Vessel Software will automatically calculate the “Fitness of Service” (remaining life span) of an existing pressure vessel for an engineer.
Projecting the life span of a vessel permits controllable scheduling of project vessels.
